Decolei da Base Aérea de Helsinki para uma missão em CAP sobre as redondezas da base.
ÀS 12:30 estava a 10 Angels, seguindo proa 095 graus à Noroeste da Base Aérea de Helsinki.
Nesse momento fiz contato com aviões inimigos a Nordeste de minha posição.
No extato momento liguei meu RWR e ganhei altitude até 15 A. para iniciar o engajamento.
Me posicionei às 12 hrs do inimigo .
Continuei seguindo às 12hrs do inimigo com proa 152 graus e à Mach 1.02 esperando os inimigos entrarem no envelope
de combate dos meus armamentos. Às 12:31 corrigi minha proa para 157 graus.
Os aviões inimigos eram composto por uma dupla de Su-25 Frogfoots que cujo seus alvos eram a Base Aérea de Helsinki.
À 12:32 iniciei minha PC para tentar interceptar o quanto antes o elemento inimigo.
À 12:33 contatei em meu MFD de navegação um contato a oeste de minha posição. Porém continuei
a engajar o elemento de SU-25.
Às 12:34 efetuei meu primeiro disparo contra o primeiro elemento de SU-25 com um AMRAAM, e Às 12:35 efetuei o segundo disparo contra o
segundo elemento.
Automaticamente após o lançamento iniciei uma subida aberta pela diagonal esquerda afim de ganhar
mais altitude e se posicionar em uma melhor posição de disparo.
Às 12:35 obtive um bingo seguindo de outro bingo, e os elementos de SU-25 foram abatidos nesse momento. Seu ataque foi repelido.
Terminada a subida, fiz uma suave curva descendo para a direita se posicionando nas 6 do elemento de caça neutro.
Recebi ordem de disparo pois por alguma razão esse elemento de caça neutro estava em ala com o elemento de SU-25 inimigo.
Então às 12:35 disparei meu terceiro AMRAAM contra o Jas-39 Gripen do elemento neutro.
Às 12:36 obtive outro bingo e em seguida disparei meu quarto AMRAAM contra o segundo JAS-39 Gripen
do elemento neutro.
Às 12:36 obtive mais um bingo contra o segundo avião do elemento neutro.
NO momento do abate meu avião estava recebdno um lock do elemento inimigo que antes estava a oeste de minha posição.
O elemento inimigo era composto por 2 aviões MiG-29 provavelmente a escolta do então destruído elemento de Su-25.
Entrei em PC e imediatamente comecei a ganhar altitude novamente, quando nesse exato momento às 12:37 meu radar
constatou um disparo de míssil tipo radar contra meu avião, no extato momento, iniciei manobras evasivas
afim de iludir o míssil inimigo e tentando ao meso tempo obter um lock contra o mesmo.
Às 12:37 mesmo com um míssil acoplado em meu avião consegui obter um lock com o elemento inimigo, imediatamente
disparei mais 2 AMRAAM's contra o elemento, e inicie novas manobras evasivas para iludir o mísisl acoplado.
Às 12:37 obtive meu quinto bingo contra um avião do elemento de MIG-29.
Às 12:38 contatei ter me livrado do míssil inimigo, mas novamente meu radar acusou o disparo de mais um míssil contra mim.
FOi nesse mesmo momento que disparei mais uma salva de mísseis AMRAAM ( 2) contra o elemento inimigo.
Às 12:39 consegui ludibriar o segundo mísisl inimigo o qual passou abaixo de minha aeronave. E nesse mesmo momento
obtive meu sexto bingo contra o último avião do elemento de MIG-29. A minha segunda salva de mísseis AMRAAM foi perdida.
Após o engajamento, rumei 027 graus em direção a Base Aérea de Helsinki. O combate citado acima se deu a 40 A. e ao sul da base aérea.
Estava a mach 1.70 e à 40 A. rumando para o destino final, pousar em Helsinki e imediatamente iniciei uma descida pois não me encontrava tão
distante da base aérea.
Às 12:40 me encontrava nas proximidades da Base Aérea e pedi permissão para o pouso.
Permissão concedida e então iniciei os procedimentos para o pouso.
Às 12:43 toquei o solo de Helsinki. A CAP terminou com o abatimento de 6 aviões inimigos com 8 mísseis disparados.

I took off from Helsinki Air Base for a CAP mission troughout the base’s area.
At 12:30 I was about 10 Angels, heading 095 degrees at NW Helsinki. At this moment I’ve got radar contacts with enemys at NE from my position. Just right at this time, I’ve turned on my RWR and climbed to 15 Angels to begin the engagement , putting myself at 12’o clock enemy’s position. I keep following the 12 hrs position heading 152 degrees at Mach 1.02 waiting for the enemy planes get in on the armament’s fire range.
At 12:31 I corrected my heading to 157 degrees. The enemy airplanes were 2 Su-25 Frogfoot heading to strike the Helsinki Air Base. At 12:32 I’ve turned on my PC trying to intercept the enemy as soon as possible with hopes to reach them before they reach their target.
At 12:33 I’ve got another radar contact at W from my position but I keep following my primal goal ( The frogfoots ). At 12:34 I got the right radar range to fire my first missile, then I’ve launched a AMRAAM against the lead of formation, then at 12:35 I’ve launched the second missile against the wingmen.
Automatically after the shots, I’ve got a turn up to right climbing to get a good altitude for another shot attempt.
At 12:35 I’ve got two splashs, confirming my kills, I’ve got 2 splashs, the Frogfoot’s attack was defeated.
After my climb, I got a light dive turn to left in spite to keep at the 6’o clock from the old contact that I’ve got before ( the W contact ) . There was neutral fighters, but in spite of this alarm and hot situation, these fighters could have some kind of conection with the Frogfoot’s attack, so I got order to fire and at 12:37 I’ve launched more 2 AMRAAMs against the two Jas-39 Gripen and I’ve got 2 bingos.
At the shot down moment, I was being locked by two MiG-29’s that before was at NE from my position.
I’ve verified that these two MiG-29’s was the Frogfoot’s escort, but fortunately they’ve came too late. At the radar contact moment I begun to climb at PC trying to reach again a good shot position but at the climb moment I’ve got a sign from my RWR that a missile ( radar type ) had been launch against my fighter…in the same moment I begun to make evasive maneuvers trying to escape and at the same time also I was trying to get a lock to fire my missiles.
I could get a lock against one of the MiG’s and I’ve fired 2 AMRAAM’s against it, then at 12:39 I got one more bingo and I could escape from it’s missile , but the second MiG launched more missiles against my fighter, and again I keep doing evasive maneuvers and I could also shot more 2 AMRAAM’s agains the other MiG, I’ve got a splash later and it’s missile passed very close below my plane . The missile that splashed the second MiG was from the first salvo, the second salvo’s missile I’ve missed.
After the engagement, I headed 027 degrees to Helsinki’s Air Base and immediately I dived because I was not so far from it.
At 12:40 I was on Helsinki surroundings, and I’ve asked permission to land……permission granted, then I begun the final preparations to land…
At 12:43 I’ve arrived at Helsinki’s Air Base . The CAP finished with 6 enemy aircrafts shot down with 8 missiles launched.
